stories from a teenage Blogger

hi i am a teenager and yes i was born in the late 90's but i did grow up in the 21st century with the magazines and pressure from the media and yes i have dealt with all the body issues that any teen growing up in 21st century have dealt with but now that i am a bit older now i have become stronger i know that that is a bit of a cheesy cliché but people who know me know that i only speak honesty and truth and with warmth (well most of the time)

Being a teenager is tricky but with a positive attitude and a support network the chances are that you will succeed (sorry a bit cheesy)

in our society teens have to conform to the regime of make up hair straighteners and gym memberships and straight teeth and drinking and drugs and risk taking. some are fine and socially accepted but some have a more difficult time because they don't fit in for example:

the in crowd are the sharks then the outcasts are fish poo or sand

imagine this

a 12 year old girl is starting high school her first day and not only is she nervous that she is starting a new school she has  learning difficulties so not only does she have a hard time at home with learning now she has to compete with her other peers to be heard as she is shy. Her teachers push to the the front of the classroom to a desk all on her own, she is small and looks younger than she is.  to conform she starts wearing a short skirt and and make up during the year the pressure gets to much and instead of lashing out she stops eating her friends don't notice but tell her she is looking good and so she keeps losing weight the boys start noticing her and she becomes increasingly nervous about everything and starts losing even more weight soon she is so thin that the simple task of walking is becoming more of a challenge one lunchtime she is sitting down and collapses an ambulance is called and she is diagnosed with an eating disorder.

A few weeks later she goes back to school her friends ask her if she is ok but what she doesn't know is that while she was away in the hospital her "friends" have been talking about her behind her back.
